I have been immersed in art since I was very young, my father was in the Art publishing business and my mother went to the Louvre school. The style that most influenced me as a child was hyperrealism/photo realism, especially American (as a sub-branch of Pop Art) from the 60s/70s but I also like French hyperrealism (80s to 2010). My main influences are Davis Cone, Richard Estes, David Hockney, Norman Rockwell, Rosenquist in painting, and Stephen Shore in photography. It is therefore quite natural that hyperrealism has become my favorite genre. I especially like to depict big cities, with a preference for scenes (and vehicles) from the 70s.

These digital paintings are linked by two common themes: the city and the car. Mainly representations of what I imagine American cities or cars to have been like in the 1970s. The style, hyperrealistic, can remind of painters like Ralph Going, Richard Estes, and many others, as a sub-movement of Pop Art. But also Stephen Shore in photography. A certain nostalgia emerges from these paintings, as well as the aesthetics of an era.
